Hyundai is changing things up for the 2021 Hyundai Elantra. This all-new sedan features a design that is a big departure from the previous model year, along with an array of new technologies.
The 2021 Elantra is based on the Hyundai Sensuous Sportiness design philosophy. Its striking new silhouette has a coupe-like look with a longer, lower, and wider stance. Its edgy design is enhanced by the use of geometric lines and gem-like shapes throughout.
The 2021 Elantra is also ready to make commuting in Toronto more efficient. This model year’s lineup will feature the first-ever Elantra Hybrid, which uses a 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine and a 32-kilowatt electric motor to offer more fuel efficiency. The hybrid puts out 139 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque while offering superior fuel-efficiency numbers.
Along with a new design and a hybrid model, the Elantra presents a wide range of new technologies. It comes standard with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ smartphone integration, while also expanding the availability of Hyundai Digital Key, which allows drivers to lock and unlock their vehicle with a smartphone and even share access with other drivers.
Finally, the 2021 Elantra comes standard with six SmartSense™ safety technologies: Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Following Assist, High Beam Assist, Driver Attention Warning, and a rearview camera with dynamic guidelines.
The 2021 Elantra is expected to begin production this autumn, arriving at Downtown Hyundai in Toronto sometime during the fourth quarter.
